Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Brand Manager to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive brand strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the company’s market position, driving customer engagement, and building brand loyalty through impactful strategies and campaigns. Acting as the custodian of the brand, you will shape how merchants, partners, regulators, and end-users perceive the business, ensuring consistency across all channels while delivering measurable results that fuel growth.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a brand strategy aligned with the company’s vision and business objectives.
  • Define and refine brand positioning, messaging, and identity to differentiate the brand in the competitive fintech and payments landscape.
  • Create and enforce brand guidelines for internal and external communications.

Campaigns & Marketing Management

  • Design, plan, and manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, content, ATL, BTL, and experiential channels.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to deliver campaigns that drive awareness and measurable business outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of creative assets, including PR materials, product content, and multimedia.

Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Set KPIs for brand awareness, engagement, recall, and customer satisfaction.
  • Track and report on campaign performance, brand equity, and ROI.
  • Conduct market analysis, consumer insights studies, and competitive benchmarking.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Customer Success, Compliance, Finance, HR) to embed brand values into the customer journey.
  • Manage external agencies, PR firms, and media partners to deliver high-quality campaigns.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and partnership events.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage the brand and marketing budget effectively, negotiating vendor contracts and ensuring maximum ROI.
  • Deliver campaigns on time and within budget.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Champion internal brand culture, aligning staff with brand values.
  • Oversee digital branding, SEO, and social media presence.
  • Monitor brand reputation, manage crisis communication, and implement proactive PR strategies.
  • Explore innovative tools and trends (AI-driven personalization, influencer marketing, etc.) to enhance brand impact.
  • Support CSR and community initiatives that reinforce brand purpose.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Marketing (CIM, Digital Marketing, etc.) highly desirable.
  • 5–7 years of progressive brand management experience, ideally in fintech, payments, banking, telecoms, or technology.
  • Proven success in developing and executing impactful brand strategies and integrated campaigns.
  • Experience managing regional or cross-border brands across Africa is an advantage.
  • Strong digital marketing, analytics, and content management experience.
